Herbs for the Musculoskeletal System: Chronic Issues

Holistic - Pain - Aging

Be amazed by the relief herbs can deliver for common chronic musculoskeletal issues!
Phyllis and I have over seventy-five years of experience, and we have seen marvels in the treatment of injuries, worn-out joints (no surgery needed), the issues of aging, restoration of function, remission from pain, and everything in between.
- Matthew Wood

Don't settle for years of pain and discomfort. Mother Nature can help!

Conventional medicine has very little to offer the public concerning muscular and skeletal issues and what it does is dangerous: addictive opioid painkillers and surgical replacement of knees and hips. Only in sports medicine (exercise, physical therapy, and injury treatment) can it be congratulated.

Herbal medicine, by comparison, offers very few painkillers because we simply don't need them. Instead of suppressing pain we go to work on the:
  • structures
  • tissues
  • fluids of joints
  • muscles
  • tendons
  • nerves
  • cartilage
  • connective tissue generally
  • and the fluids--synovial, cerebral, and interstitial.
The success of the herbal approach to this system rests upon a good overall knowledge of all tissues and fluids, good analysis of the damage (or good luck!—which belongs to those who have put in the time studying and observing), and knowledge of the herbal materia medica.

We go over these basic principles, then onto chronic conditions associated with:
  • degeneration
  • overuse, and aging—osteoarthritis
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • fibromyalgia, “rheumatism”
  • spinal deterioration
  • osteoporosis
  • and other topics like the association between good bone marrow health and the immune system.
