A simple clinical skill with profound potential.

There are a number of indications the face gives us about a person's condition that we almost intuitively understand:
  • the flushed cheeks of embarrassment
  • the nervous sweat on the brow
  • red ears from a fever

Did you know that you can also detect:
  • a stressed heart
  • a blocked colon
  • dangerous conditions of the blood that standard tests do not detect
  • looming issues in organs before they become severe

Lives have been saved with the foreknowledge gained from this simple but profound assessment skill!

Facial Assessment with Guest Teacher Dawn Lacska-Tommerdahl, RN

"I have known Dawn for over twenty years. Her insights always surprise me because of their uniqueness against the great canopy of herbalism.  She does not come from the circle of teaching that I come from – William LeSassier (dec’d), Margi Flint, and myself – but largely from her own experience. As a nurse, she had been looking at people inside the medical world, and as an herbalist, she is experienced with holistic evaluation and treatment. She brings to us more than 30 years of experience.
